(2), (3), (4) 2-peak searches.

...and append the output file, the header of which is twice as long. The first and second half parts of the peak file should contain results for respectively the low and high potential extrema. The left and right widths are positive and should relate to the low and high potential flanks of the peaks, respectively. The widths and areas are positive.

Using 2 or 3, you've got to enter the limit between the two parts of the scan:

Using 2 the program searches for 2 maxima OR two minima (one on each side). Using 3, one extremum (either a maximum or a minimum) is looked for on each side.

Use 4 to search the maximum and the minimum over the whole scan; in this latter case, the integration makes no sense and the areas are not reported (they are set to 0 in the peak file).
