See or repeat the recently-executed commands recorded in a history list.
histwrites the numbers and contents for each of the events in the history list.
!1, select the most recent event (the very last thing you did), without adding it to the list.
n=1-9, select the event #n.
!!, select the event #5; in case you've used l(oad),c(ut),f(ilter),b(ase),1(peak), the next thing you're likely to do is l(oad) again, typing
!!will do...you can repeat the whole sequence of 5 commands forever just by typing
NB: this command is useless if the Up/Down keys can be be used to retrieve previously used commands (the latter feature depends on how SOAS was compiled).
